5.
While holding the outer end of the rear
axle shaft with a wrench, remove the
rear axle nut and washer.
6.
Loosen the axle holding bolt.
7.
Support your motorcycle securely and
raise the rear wheel off the ground using
a maintenance stand or a hoist.
8.
Cover the right swingarm with protective
tape or an equivalent.
9.
Remove the rear brake bracket bolt.
10.
Slide the rear axle shaft to the left side
until the rear wheel can be removed.
u Do not pull the rear axle shaft out
completely.
11.
Remove the rear brake bracket.
12.
Move the wheel to the right to separate
it from the final drive gear case.
