Yes you could use it in the hall/closet. It can be use on any door. It gives you a key so u can use it if you forgot ur code or if the batteries die. But you don’t have to use the key at all

Not to my knowledge as my lock is paired to my smartphone but not tied to my wireless network. I also have a history of accesses- date and time that are recorded and displayed on my phone- again outside of my wireless network.

Installation was pretty easy. There are instructions in the box and astep by step walkthrough on the app. If I can do it anyone can.

The interior electronics need to be protected from the environment, the exterior is rated against external weather conditions.

I am having the hardest time with this lock. I can lock and unlock from app. I cant figure how to enter the code from keypad. Nothing happens. I am ready to return it. Any help is much appreciated.
