#1 Is it OK to use without the water filter?

My coffee tastes better without the filter if your water is bad then use the filter, otherwise, the filter removes some of the minerals and other particles that the flavour molecules bind too. My coffee using the filter tasted weak.

#2 Anyone else have issues with coffee grounds in their coffee? It’s happened multiple times. We are using a filter

Yes. And also leaking. They sent us a new one but same thing. The plunger on the bottom of the filter housing doesn’t always fully open. So it fills up and spills over . Grounds and all.

#3 For those that use the Cuisinart permanent filter, can you post a link to which one?

Mr. Coffee does not know whether the Cuisinart permanent filters work with our coffee makers. We have permanent filters available for a majority of our coffee makers.

#4 I see that the coffee maker makes an audible beep when it's finished. Can it be muted?

The audible signal cannot be muted or disabled.

#5 My cleaning button keeps lit - no matter what. It also keeps a low buzz at the end of a cleaning cycle. I've cleaned it after only 7 pots of coffee.

That doesn't sound right. I cleaned mine and afterward it all reset back to the original settings. Did you try unplugging the coffee maker? I don't remember hearing low buzzing either during the cleaning cycle.

#6 When washing the thermal pot, is water supposed to leak from between the black plastic and the stainless steel?

My previous coffee maker from Krups began to leak after a year or so. It did not effect the performance or functionality of the thermal pot. I believe the same is true for the Mr Coffee machine. I have not experienced any leaking yet with this pot. The leaking I experienced after washing with Krups ended shortly. It did not continue to leak.
