Calculate Distance
Calculate the linear distance from the current position to the shooting location
of the image or between the shooting locations of two images.
1 Use the multi selector HI to
select the desired option for
calculating the distance, and press
the k button.
• Position now ⇔ image: Calculates the
distance from the current position to the
image shooting location. Confirmation of
the current position starts. Proceed to step
3.
• Image ⇔ image: Calculates the distance between the shooting locations of
two images.
2 Use JK to select the image that is
the start point, and press the k
button.
• To adjust the scale of the map, use the
zoom control (f (h)/g (i)).
3 Press JK to select the image that
is the end point.
• Each time an image is selected, the distance
is displayed on the screen.
• To end distance calculation, press the k
button.
B Notes About Distance Calculation
• If the location data is not recorded on the image, the distance cannot be
calculated.
• In order to calculate the distance using Position now ⇔ image, the current
position must have been obtained (A85).
