#2 Can Sony products (including AC adapters and battery chargers) be used overseas or in foreign countries?

Various countries use different electrical power systems. It is important to know the voltage used in the country you are visiting. Plugging a Sony® product into an electrical outlet with the wrong voltage can damage the product or cause personal injury.
Check the product label to determine the required voltage
necessary for proper operation. If the voltage used in the country you are visiting is different than what is specified on the Sony product label, then the product should not be plugged into the outlet. However, if the voltage is the same, then all you may need is a plug adapter so the power cord will fit properly into the wall outlet (since the types of electrical wall outlets also differ). The example below shows a product label that indicates it should only be used on a power system that provides 120V at a 60Hz frequency.
