#1 How long do I have to leave the battery in the charger the first time?

2-3 hours until light blinks. Not suppose to leave in charger once charged --return to vac or just leave out. I have left in charger by mistake but didn't seem to hurt it. You can order extra battery here on Amazon if you need long run times.

#2 Does this battery come with a charger?

This battery fits into your Hoover sweeper. It replaces the used battery. This battery fits the charger that came with the vacuum. It does not come with an additional charger. My replacement BATTERY works well and of course fits the vacuum and the charger.
