Hotpoint UH6 F1C W UK.1 Questions and Answers

#1 In other websites the rating is A* however in Argos the freezer is rated F and they are the same freezer

The energy label (sometimes referred to as the EU label) has provided information on low energy and water consumption data for major domestic appliances since 1996.
The energy label is intended to show energy efficiency data at a glance, in order to enable a better comparison with other products.
Since the energy label was introduced back in 1996 then household appliances have become much more cost and energy efficient.
For this reason, the energy label for washing machines, washer dryers, refrigeration and dishwashers is now being updated and all appliances rescaled as otherwise the ratings would become more confusing going forward.
The usual "Plus" classes, such as A +++, A ++ and A +, are replaced by a uniform energy consumption scale from A to G. The seven-step color scale is retained. Due to changed measurement methods, it is not possible to convert the old label to the new label.
Between November 2020 and March 2021 the energy label from the 'old' scale must still be included whilst the 'new' scale label is also introduced. This is why many products for a few months will contain two labels but the energy usage should be the same.
We note in your specific case there is a small variance in the energy usage number shown on the labels and have referred this to our factory for investigation
From March 2021 only the new rescaled label will be included in appliances.
For the time being, the changes will not affect the tumble dryers, ovens and hoods. These are expected to be revised from 2022. So it is quite possible that you will find a C-Class washing machine next to an A +++ dryer.
