Product Mounting
This model use Waste King snap and lock mounting system. It replaces existing disposal that use
the 3-bolt system.
When you replace an old sink disposal with 3-bolt system, you can:
Use back the existing sink flange and mounting bracket - most easy to do, since you only
remove the old unit and install the new model.
Keep the existing sink flange - you may want to keep the sink flange due to
color/material matching or for other reasons. In this case, dismount both the old disposer
and mounting bracket. Then proceed to install the new mounting system plus new Waste
King disposal.
The last option is remove everything and replace with new ones.
The installation is simple with minimal work. The instruction manual is well written with
diagrams to guide you. Make sure you read and understand the installation guide beforehand and
proceed accordingly.
The unit comes with the power cord attached. Plug it into an outlet under the kitchen sink and
you can use it immediately. If you want to hard-wire the unit, remove the plug and cord.
This unit is huge and heavy. You need someone to help you lift it up and do some alignment

before locking it in place. Another way is to make use of a tool like a tier jack. Due to its large
size, you might need to move or reroute your existing drain pipes.
If this is the first time you’re installing a food waste disposer, you might have to do the
following:
Install a wall switch to turn the unit on and off.
Depend on your pipe layout; get some pieces of PVC pipe from your local hardware
store.
If you intend to connect to your dishwasher, you need to get a dishwasher connect kit.
