The antenna is for the times you want to take the television with you. (Camping, Road Trips, the Park) Remember this is a small antenna in comparison the the old ones we used to have on our homes before cable so don't count on great reception. When you are home you can remove the antenna and connect your cable box to get all your channels.

The stand requires no assembly it attaches to the base of the TV with a single thumb screw. It also has a tilt adjusting thumb screw which allows the TV set to be tilted backwards and forward as desired.

It is a rechargeable flat / small battery similar to one you might use in a cell phone. I've used mine during power outages with good function.

It's been over a year ago and as I recall for my purposes I needed a free-standing or stand alone tv when I ordered these two, so I doubt there was any other connection. That's the problem as they just receive no signal reception.

Yes. The charge lasts well, has a good charge on it, and a very good antenna. Good reception, clear and no pauses or static screens. The box contains a charger in it if you need one, no reason to go out and have to find one. Great buy for us. We live where there are hurricanes and recently bad storms and power outages. Nice to still have TV!!!

Yes Susan it can be done. Mine just sits on the counter top and I flipped it over to see what I could come up with.Very easy to loosen the knurled knob on mounting stand and swing the stand 180 deg (up-side down). Use the two unused out-side holes in the stand and mount to bottom of cabinet with #6 wood screws. Re-tighten knurled knob. Piece of cake!

No there is no hdmi input, It has an rf input, and two headphone type av inputs and a headphone output.
