Frigidaire FHWH082WA1 Questions and Answers

#1 What size air conditioner do I need?

Air conditioner sizes are rated by BTUs, and the size of the room you wish to cool determines how many BTUs you need. Measure the width and length of the room and multiply those numbers together to determine the square footage. The higher the BTU, the more square footage the air conditioner will cool. Use this helpful guide below to decide which BTU is right for your area: 5k BTU: 150 Sq. Ft. 10k BTU: 450 Sq. Ft. 15k BTU: 850 Sq. Ft. 22k BTU: 1,300 Sq. Ft. 28k BTU: 1,900 Sq. Ft.

#2 What does the Clean Air button do?

When this feature is on, the electronic air purifier is energized to remove pollen and impurities from the air. To cancel this feature, press the Clean Air button.

#3 What does Sleep Mode mean?

When this mode is enabled, the selected temperature will increase by 2 °F 30 minutes after the mode is selected. The temperature will then increase by another 2 °F after an additional 30 minutes. This new temperature will be maintained for 7 hours before returning to the originally selected temperature. This ends the “Sleep” mode and the unit will continue to operate as originally programmed. You may also cancel sleep mode at any time by again pressing the sleep button.
