CLEANING
Always keep the lid (5) of the bean container tightly shut in
order to enjoy the full taste and aroma of your coee beans.
Never grind more coee than you actually need.
The quantity of ground coee you need to make your coee
depends on the type of bean, the degree of grinding and
your personal taste.
Warning: In order to prevent the motor from overheating, do
not grind more than 1 full container in succession. Then wait
5 minutes to let the motor cool down before restarting.
The BODUM® coee grinder uses conical burr grinders,
which are the best grinders you can get. The burr spins more
slowly than the wheel model, which makes it quieter and
less messy. You can use a conical burr grinder for oily or
lavoured coees and it is not likely to clog like other kinds of
grinder. These are the best.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other).
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will it in a polar-
ized socket in one way only. If the plug does not it correctly
in the socket, reverse the plug. If it still does not it, contact a
qualiied electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
Disconnect the mains plug from the socket outlet. Remove
any remaining beans in the bean container (3) and take the
latter o by twisting it in an anticlock-wise direction as far as
the release area stop (12). Lift the bean container (3) from the
housing. The Conical Burr Grinder – Female (10) can then be
lifted out of the machine.
A soft-bristle brush is ideal for cleaning the conical burr
grinder (10,11). Reassemble the machine by performing the
above operation in reverse order. The lid (5), bean container
(3) and inlet cover (4) are easy to clean using a damp cloth.
The ground coee container (2) is dishwasher-proof.
Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized
service representative.
