Changing Spark Plug
For the recommended spark plug, see
“Specifications.” 2 P. 105
Use only the recommended type of spark
plug in the recommended heat range.
NOTICE
Using a spark plug with an improper heat range
can cause engine damage.
1.
Remove the maintenance lid. 2 P. 55
2.
Disconnect the spark plug cap from the
spark plug.
3.
Clean any dirt from around the spark plug
base.
4.
Remove the spark plug using a suitable
spark plug wrench.
5.
Install the new spark plug. With the plug
washer attached, thread the spark plug in
by hand to prevent cross-threading.
