IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use.
If this product is passed to a third party, then these instructions
must be included.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always
be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons
including the following:
• Read all instructions.
• To protect against risk of electrical shock do not put the main unit,
power cable or plug in water or other liquid.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge. Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used by or near children. Children should be supervised
to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
•
Turn the appliance OFF, then unplug from the outlet when not in use,
before assembling or disassembling parts and before cleaning. Tounplug,
grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord.
• Avoid contacting moving parts.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or
after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any
manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for
examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
• The use of attachments, including canning jars, not recommended by
the manufacturer may cause a risk of injury to persons.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter.
• Keep hands and utensils out of container while blending to reduce the
risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the blender. Arubber
scraper or spatula may be used, but only when the blender is not running.
• Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
• Always operate blender with cover in place.
• Do not process hot or boiling ingredients.
• Do not leave foreign objects, such as spoons, forks, knives or the
lid plug, in the container as this will damage the blades and other
components when starting the machine and may cause injury.
• Never attempt to operate with damaged blades.
• Always operate blender with lid and lid plug firmly in place. The lid plug
should be removed only when adding ingredients.
• When making nut butters or oil-based foods, do not process for more
than one minute after the mixture starts to circulate in the container.
Processing for longer periods can cause product to overheat.
