#3 How to use this wine opener?

You just put it over the top of the wine bottle with a cork and it automatically has a cork screw that is engaged when you push it down. It will uncork the bottle and then remove cork automatically back to you. It does not remove twist caps on wine bottles

#4 Does it open rubber/plastic corks?

Yes, this will remove synthetic wine corks.
