On first use, there may be a slight odour and a little smoke during the first few minutes, this is
normal and will quickly disappear.
Connection and pre-heating
Close the appliance.
Plug the cord in the wall socket: the red light comes on - fig.1.
Cooking
Allow the appliance to pre-heat, the green light comes on when the correct cooking
temperature is reached - fig.2. After pre-heating, the appliance is ready for use.
Do not touch the metallic surfaces of the appliance during pre-heating, because they are
very hot.
Select the desired temperature using the thermostat - fig.3.
Open the appliance.
Pour the waffle batter into the centre of each heart-shaped section - fig.4.
Immediately close the appliance, using the handle, so that the batter is evenly distributed over
the whole surface of the plate - fig.5.
Do not hold onto the handle of the appliance during cooking, as this will prevent the batter
from rising.
The cooking time is around 3-4 minutes and may vary depending on the recipe.
Once the waffle is cooked remove it using a wooden or plastic spatula
- fig.6.
Place the waffles on a grill and wait one (1) minute before trying them. This way, they will
become more crispy.
Avoid using metal knives or other utensils, since these could damage the plate coating.
USAGE/INFORMATION
NOTE
During cooking, the green thermostat indicator light will come on and go off again at regular
intervals in order to ensure the cooking temperature remains constant. Similarly, at any time
while you are using your waffle maker you can adjust the thermostat if you think that the
temperature is too low or too high.
