WaterAce WA80UP Questions and Answers

#1 Does this pump contain oil? Is it safe for koi ponds?

It says right in the description that it is oil cooled. I'm also trying to find a pump of this style that is not oil cooled for the same reasons as you.

#2 Is this fully submersible?

Absolutely. This is a Submersible pump meant to operate under water.

#3 Will these work on my product?

I have no idea what "your product" is! This is a sump pump type pump that is meant to de water basements etc. It is water proof but I would not recommend running it TOTALLY submerged for any extended period as you might get water invasion into the oil filled motor.

#4 Can i pump from lake into yard about 200ft and maybe 10-15ft height?

I am pumping 50’ at about 10’ elevation and it is strong. It is adequate for my needs though I would like a larger pump to remove greater volume.

#5 Will this drain through a garden hose or does it need a specific one/type?

The connection looked like an average garden hose would fit. I sent it back as I needed it for an area outside a door that floods and this one is manual on/off. I needed something with a float/automatic on/off.
