Cuisinart FP-8SVP1 Questions and Answers

#1 Should i buy the 8 cup or the 11 cup? what is the advantage of
one over the other?

Get the 11 cup. I’ve found that the 8 cup isn’t really
sufficient for the amount of food I’m making. There’s 4
people in our family. Also, if you want to make smoothies
get the 11 cup. 8 cup isn’t big enough and sprays smoothie
juice all over the kitchen.

#2 To more finely shred hard cheese can I use the chopping blade
and shredding blade together?

No only one attachment can be used at a time.

#3 I've always objected to the cuisinart processor bowl that has a
hole in the middle. this bowl appears to not have this design
flaw. Correct?

I don't know about any others, but this bowl has no hole in the
bottom

#4 Can it make pie crust?

Yes you can make pie crust in this food processor, it makes
beautiful pie crust.

#5 Does this make nut butters without oil? also, can it grind dates
to use in baking?

Yes, it makes nut butters without oil. Pretty stiff, though. I have
ground dates but there were other fruits in with them, like
apples.
