#1 Which would you recommend - a left hinge or right hinge version - to fit in a 24" space with a wall on the left and a built-in cabinet on the right?
It depends on how much clearance you have between the wine fridge and the wall on the left. If it will be flush against the wall, then you need to go with a right-hinge model. The reason is you need enough clearance for the door to open at least 90 degrees. This will allow the wine bottle trays to fully extend outward to take advantage of the back rows. The door has a handle that extends outward about 1 ¾ inches. So if you have at least a 2-inch clearance on the left, you can get away with a left-hinge model. I have a wall on the left but I have a 3 ½-inch clearance from the wall, so I have no issue fully extending the wine trays. If you are uncertain about your clearance on the left, then play it safe with a right-hinge model.
