Thank you for buying this TEFAL. Read carefully the instructions, common to different versions depending
on the accessories supplied with your appliance, and keep them within reach.
This appliance is intended for domestic household use only. It is not intended to be used in the following applications,
and the guarantee will not apply for: staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; farm houses;
by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; bed and breakfast type environments.
For your safety, this product conforms to all applicable standards and regulations (Low Voltage Directive, Electromag-
netic Compatibility, Food Compliant Materials, Environment, …).
TEFAL has an ongoing policy of research and development and may modify these products without prior notice.
Any solid or liquid foodstuff that comes into contact with the parts marked with the logo should not be consumed.
Prevention of accidents at home
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by an adult responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
If an accident occurs, rinse the burn immediately with cold water and call a doctor
if necessary.
NB: Cooking fumes may be dangerous for animals with particularly sensitive respira-
tory systems, such as birds and small mammals. We advise owners to keep them away
from the cooking area.
Remove all packaging materials, stickers and accessories from the inside and the out-
side of the appliance.
Pour 1.5 litre maximum of water carefully into the reflector so that the appliance
works efficiently and prevents fat and juices from food spitting.
To avoid overheating of the appliance, we recommend you do not place it in a corner
or against a wall.
Ensure that the plate is stable and fitted correctly onto the base of the appliance.
The appliance is suitable for outdoor use.
Check that your electrical installation is compatible with the power and the voltage
indicated under the appliance. If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be re-
placed by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order
to avoid a hazard.
WARNING: Charcoal or similar combustible fuels must not be used with this appliance.
The appliance should be supplied through a residual current device (RCD) having a
rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA.
The appliance is to be connected to a socket-outlet having an earthing contact (for
class I appliances).
The power supply cord should be regularly examined for signs of damage and the
appliance is not to be used if the cord is damaged.
If need be, make sure to choose an extension lead of equivalent diameter with an
earthed socket; take all necessary precautions to prevent anyone tripping over an ex-
tension cord.
On first use, the appliance may smell slightly and possibly give off smoke for the first
few minutes – this is normal.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
If the appliance is used in the centre of the table, keep it out of the reach of children.
Always plug the appliance into an earthed socket.
Do not cook food in aluminium foil.
Do not leave the appliance in direct sunlight or outside in winter.
This product has been designed for domestic use only. Any commercial use, inap-
propriate use or failure to comply with the instructions, the manufacturer accepts no
responsibility and the guarantee will not apply.

Accessible surface temperatures can
be high when the appliance is
operating. Never touch the hot
surfaces of the appliance.
Never plug the appliance in when not
in use. Never use the appliance when
it is empty. Do not leave the
appliance unattended whilst in use.
Never place the appliance directly
onto a fragile surface (glass table,
cloth, varnished furniture...).
Do not use it on a flexible type of
support, such as a rubberised
protective cloth.
Do not touch metallic parts while the
appliance is on as they are very hot.
This appliance is not intended
to be operated by means of
an external timer or separate
remote-control system.
Do not move the appliance
when in use.
Never run the appliance empty.
Never place aluminium foil
or anything else between the
grid and the food to be cooked.
Do not place cooking utensils
to heat on the appliance.
If the heating element
is incorrectly positioned,
the safety system will prevent
the appliance from working.
Never immerse the appliance
in water with its heating element
and its cord.
Never use metal scourers or scouring
powders to avoid damaging the
cooking surface (e.g. : non-stick
coating, ....).
Check that the appliance
has cooled down completely
and that it is unplugged before
putting it away.
