Igloo ICEB26SS Questions and Answers

#1 Does this have to be hooked up to water line?

No it does not have to be hooked up to water line

#2 How can I prevent the ice from becoming one block of ice when I transfer from the machine to a bucket in my freezer?

I just put mine in ice bags I bought. Then drop it on the floor.

#3 Is the storage area for the made ice refrigerated?

No it is just storage must take out ice and put in freezer

#4 Can I use carbonated or sparkling water in this machine to make fizzy ice cubes?

I doubt it. A half gallon of water goes in the resevoir and a pump runs water up to a tray that makes the cubes. Any carbonation would be flushed out of the water.

#5 Our ice maker is making loud noises and stalls to make ice?

The ice maker is kind of loud but we have had no issues with it stalling. Our only issue is the small size of the ice compartment,.

#6 Is this ice maker suppose to be loud like a bearing going out when it is running?

Ours has some what I would consider non-disturbing fan noise but not squeaky or anything like that. Being a mechanical engineer, I'm thinking it has to make some noise to do what it does...we are very happy with ours.

#7 Just bought it. After making ice, the fill water light comes on but there is more than enough water. Am I doing something wrong?

Make sure there isn’t something blocking the little screen for the water uptake
