Setting a custom empty spool weight
Starting with the scale switched off, press and hold the button
then whilst still holding the button press button to turn the
scale on.
When the scale turns on, let go of the button.
The LCD will display the current customized empty spool weight, with
the first character on the right hand side flashing.
Press the button to cycle through the numbers from 0 to 9 to
select the required number for the flashing character. Every time the
button is pressed, the flashing number will increase by 1. After 9
the flashing number will go back to ‘0’
Once the required number has been selected for the first character on
the right hand side, press the button once to confirm the entry
and move the digit selection to the second character.
Repeat steps 4 and 5 above, but this time for the second and third
character.
Once all 3 numbers are set to the required values, press the button
once to save the newly entered empty spool weight and switch off the
scale.
To use this custom weight instead of the default empty spool weight
press the button after turning on the Precise filament holder and
scale each time. By not pressing this button each time after the scale is
turned on the default empty spool weight will continue to be used.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
When using the Precise filament holder and scale, the following safety
precautions should always be followed.
WARNING
Use only the specified type of batteries (2x AA Alkaline). Using other
types of battery may cause damage to your Precise filament holder and
scale.
CAUTION
Avoid placing the Precise filament holder and scale in direct sunlight;
this may cause discoloration or malfunctions.
Do not mix battery types. Replace both batteries at the same time.
If the scale is not to be used for a long period of time, remove all
batteries from the battery compartment to avoid leakage which may
cause damage to the Precise filament holder and scale.
Avoid overloading, it could cause damage to the scale. Max weight is
1500g.
Do not submerge in water or place the scale under running water. To
clean, wipe with a damp cloth.
A static discharge can damage the scale electronics. This can be
avoided by touching any earthed metal before using the scale. E.g. a
metal panel on a home appliance that is plugged in the mains socket.

When to calibrate
Before first use please calibrate.
How to calibrate
1. Ensure there is no spool in the Precise filament holder and scale.
2. Enter calibration mode
Starting with the scale switched off.
Press and hold the button, then press the button once to
turn the scale on.
When the scale comes on, it will show ‘CAL’ then ‘CAL-0’ on the LCD.
At this point please release the button.
Press the button once. The LCD will show ‘1000g’.
Press button to switch the scale off.
Press the button again to switch the scale on. This will now be
the correct calibration.

Setting up the scale
Avoid placing the scale in direct

Weighing Measurements
The Precise holder and scale is using the default empty spool
weight.
The Precise holder and scale is using the custom empty spool
weight.
Press button to turn on the Precise filament holder and scale. The
LCD will show all symbols briefly before displaying the weight of the
filament based upon the default empty spool weight.
To switch to using the custom empty spool weight press the
button. The display will show the filament weight based upon the
custom empty spool weight.
If the filament on the spool weighs less than 20g, the display will show
“------“
