GE - General Electric GLD5604V00WW Questions and Answers

#1 I think the GLD 5600 had the pots and pan cycle
So can you Please explain does this model have the pots and pan cycle too?

This GE dishwasher model # GLD5604VWW does not have the Pots and Pans cycle. The information provided in the previous post is offered to address dishwashers with the Clean Sensor feature but with varying cycle options.

The GE dishwasher model # GLD5600VWW does have the Pots and Pans cycle.

Thanks for your interest in our GE dishwashers!

#2 How long does the full cleaning and drying cycle take start to finish?

It’s difficult to give you an exact answer because this dishwasher has a Clean Sensor, which monitors the amount of food soil in the water and adjusts the cycle accordingly. So the wash times listed in the manual are approximate. But for the Pots and Pans cycle, the wash cycle is approximately 88 minutes long and for the Normal cycle, it’s around 54 minutes long. If you’re using Heated Dry, you can add between 34-45 minutes to those wash cycles.

#3 Styrofoam partially blocking steam vent?
While cleaning the steam vent on the upper left door, I noticed styrofoam on the inside which is blocking about 1/3 of the vent. Is this normal?

Our dishwashers include an extra piece of Styrofoam, placed in the vent area on the door. This material is positioned here to prevent moisture, produced by the steam and humidity, from dripping. It adds a measure of protection to the electronics board and should not be removed. I hope this helps.
