Operating Controls
The clutch lever is used to disengage the clutch
whenever you shift gears. To operate, pull the
clutch lever in all the way before shifting, then
slowly release it after shifting.
The
shift lever is used to selec
t the next higher
or
lower gear in the transmission. To operate,
raise the shift lever (after pulling in the clutch
lever) to engage the next higher gear or depress
the shift lever to engage the next lower gear.

The rear brake pedal is used to slow or stop
your motorcycle. To

te, depress the pedal.

The kickstarter is used to start th
e engine. To
ope
rate,
swing the kickstarter out from its
stored position and depress it through its
entire stroke. See Starting Procedure, page 31.
