12. CD/POWER: Press and hold to
turn the system on/off. Press and
release repeatedly to cycle through
radio and CD player mode.
CD units are designed to play commercially pressed 4.75 in (12
cm) audio compact discs only. Due to technical incompatibility,
certain recordable and re-recordable compact discs may not
function correctly when used in Ford CD players. Irregular
shaped CDs, CDs with a scratch protection film attached, and CDs
with homemade paper (adhesive) labels should not be inserted
into the CD player. The label may peel and cause the CD to
become jammed. It is recommended that homemade CDs be
identified with permanent felt tip marker rather than adhesive
labels. Ballpoint pens may damage CDs. Please contact your
dealer for further information.
13. BAND: Press repeatedly to
cycle through AM/FM1/FM2
frequency bands.
14. SOUND: Press to change the
sound effect of the current playing
media from FLAT, JAZZ or ROCK

equalizer settings that can be used to modify the sound. Press and hold
SOUND to activate the enhanced bass mode. BASS will appear in the
display. To cancel, press and hold again.
Beep Tones: Your audio system will automatically beep when a button is
pushed. To turn off the beep tones:
1. Press and hold CD POWER until the system turns off.
2. With the ignition in the accessory position (ACC), press CD POWER
and
on the audio control simultaneously until ’b-oF’ is displayed.
This will signify the tones have been turned off.
3. To turn the tones on again, repeat steps 1 and 2. ’b-oN’ will be
displayed when the tones are active again.
