#1 Why is manufacturer discontinuing this product? What am I missing out on by it not having WiFi or Bluetooth capability? Thanks!

Products tend to be discontinued what a manufacturer intends to replace it with a product that incorporates more recent features and technologies that are the result of their research and development. Bluetooth and WiFi allows you to play content from your phone or tablet or streamed from your phone or tablet over your system. This is a fantastic sounding receiver

#2 Does this have an all channel stereo mode where I can play any source in stereo mode to all speakers including zone 2 / surround backs?

Yes, Denon calls it 5-Channel Stereo. This is a fantastic sounding receiver

#3 Why does the item name say "Discontinued by Manufacturer"?

This is a current, not discontinued model. This is a fantastic sounding receiver.

#4 Does it support 4k pass-through and upscaling?

4K Pass-Through + Video Upconversion: The Denon AV receiver's Analog Device 12-bit video processor (ADV8003) supports pass-through of 1080p/24Hz and 4K Ultra HD video. This sophisticated video processor also provides upconversion from standard definition (480i/480p) and high definition (720p/1080i1080p) sources to 4K Ultra HD (3840x2160 pixels), which lets you connect all your analog (composite/component) or digital (HDMI) video sources to the AVR-X2000 and then connect to your HDTV with just a single HDMI cable. Keep in mind this unit does not have the HDCP protocol to play 4K movies from an HDMI source.
