CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
THE OVEN
 THE OVEN DOOR : How to remove the door - to facilitate cleaning etc.
Open the door fully and press down lightly. Engage the clips from the lower hinges onto
the spurs on the upper arms as shown in the diagram "a" - carry this out on both the left
hand and right hand hinges. Lift the door assembly upward and outward to disengage it
from the oven body - carefully lift the door away from the appliance - do not attempt to
release the clips on the hinges whilst the door is disconnnected from the appliance. To refit
the door, lift it up to the appliance and insert the hinge arms to the slots on the appliance
keeping the door parallel to the appliance. The door can be felt to "engage" in the slots and
once this is achieved the door can be pressed down lightly and the clips disengaged as in
diagram "b", which is the normal position.
a) b)
GLASS WINDOW : after each use, wipe the inside glass window with a paper towel.
Once the oven has cooled, you may clean the glass with a window cleaner.
THE SHELF : clean the shelf with an abrasive cleanser or steel wool. After cleaning, rinse
the shelf with clean water, rinse and dry.
THE DRIP TRAY : after grilling, remove the drip tray from the oven. Carefully pour out
the grease from the pan into a proper container. Wash and rinse the drip tray in hot water
with a soaked sponge or plastic scouring pad. If food has burned on, soak the pan in
detergent and water. The pan may also be cleaned with a commercial oven cleaner or
cleaned in the dishwasher. Do not store a soiled drip tray anywhere in the oven.
THE DRAWER : Never place cleansers or inflammable products in the drawer. Use only
the drawer to store pans.
THE OVEN
. Never use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, harsh brushes or sharp object to clean your
oven. They could permanently damage the oven's enamel finish.
. Use only soap and water.
. Never line the sides and floor of the oven with aluminium foil. It could increase the heat
concentration inside the oven and damage the finish.
. Clean heavy splattering and spillages using a commercial oven cleaner and follow the
instructions given on the packaging.
