Goldair GPH480 Questions and Answers

#1 How does a mechanical thermostat work?

This heater has a mechanical thermostat that cannot be set to a specific temperature.
The best way to set one is to turn it up to full (rotate it clockwise all the way until it stops) then when the room reaches a temperature you are comfortable with, then slowly turn it back until it just clicks off. You should hear it 'click'.

Then just leave it at that position and the heater will cycle on and off to maintain the comfort level you have selected.

#2 Can I take off the wheels/castors on this heater?

Yes, you can remove the castor plates from this metal panel heater if you decide you want to wall mount it.
You may find that when the castor plates were installed, there were 1-way screws used which means you will not be able to use a screwdriver to remove them.
You may need to use a pair of pliers to unscrew them or failing that use a drill to remove the head of the screw and then you should be able to remove the castor plates. Remember to remove the remaining part of the screw as it will be sharp.

#3 Can I mount this heater on a wall?

Yes, this panel heater comes with a bracket on the back to be used for wall mounting. This helps save valuable floor space. This heater has been specifically safety tested to be mounted on the wall.
