This function is called SmartFrame ,and will be activated under SmartImage mode “RTS”.
RTS: For playing RTS (Real Time Strategy) games, a user-selected portion can be highlighted for RTS games (through SmartFrame). The picture quality can be adjusted for the highlighted portion.
Set off “SmartFrame”will disable this function, and highlighted rectangle will disappear.

If the monitor backlight is off, please try the following troubleshooting:

Unplug the monitor for a minutes.
Try connecting a different source.
Try conceding to a different device.
If the issue is not solved please raise a case.

If you can see dead pixels on the screen please follow the instructions below:
Count the number of dead pixels on a Black and White background. Please make sure you write down the colors of the pixels too.
On the Philips Website you can find the manual for your specific model. Please check if the amount for dead pixels are within our pixel policy.
