DOOR LOCK
Your unit is provided with a lock and key combination.
The keys are located inside the plastic bag that contains the Instruction Manual. Insert the key into the
lock and turn it counterclockwise to unlock the door. To lock the door, do the reverse operation, making
sure the metal pin is engaged completely. Remove the key and put it in a secure place for safekeeping.
SHELVING
NOTE: USE CAUTION WHEN LOADING AND UNLOADING BOTTLES
X-series wine cellars feature fixed stainless steel diamond shaped racks to hold
bottles horizontally. Bordeaux and Burgundy bottles can be stored in the side
shelving, but we recommend that the flat center shelving is only used to store
Bordeaux bottles, as wider Burgundy style may roll.
CH-series wine cellars feature adjustable shelves made from stainless steel that
are specially designed for wider champagne and sparkling wine bottles. These
mount via cantilevered clips, which have been pre-installed to allow you to
position the shelves at an angle, keeping your bottle labels in view. Simply line
up the holes on the back of the shelves with the clip and set in place.
CH-series shelving can be adjusted if you prefer a more traditional horizontal storage style. Remove
the shelf by lifting up, adjust the clip to desired position, and set the shelf back in place.
If you would like to order additional shelves, you can do so online at
summitappliance.com/catalog/model/CHShelf, or call our office at 718-893-3900.
DEFROSTING
These units defrost automatically during normal operating conditions
The evaporator behind the rear wall of the unit defrost automatically. The condensate collects in the
drainage channel behind the rear wall of the unit, and flows through the drainage hole into the drip tray
by the compressor where it evaporates. However, frost may accumulate on the evaporator if the unit is
repeatedly opened in a high heat or high humidity location. If this frost pattern does not clear within 24
hours, your unit will require manual defrosting
