#1 Can I put the basket in a dishwasher?

The owners manual says no!! States you can put the metal tray in the dishwasher, but not the basket.

#2 Is the air fryer or any part or the air fryer that heats made of plastic or metal?

The Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer is a fantastic machine in every way! The only plastic on it is the front control panel. The inside basket does have a rubber gasket around the outer edge at the top. It is a nice large Teflon coated metal basket so is the air tray at the bottom (4 little rubber bumpers on the sides of the tray). Keep in mind that 400 degree cooking in a semi-plastic devise is never a good idea on so many levels.

#3 When the air fryer goes to "END", do you have to unplug and plug back in to start another cycle?

No, you don't need to fully unplug the Vortex. You can press Cancel, which will return it to Standby mode. From there, you can pick a new function and start cooking again right away! We hope this is helpful.
