5. Loosen the air filter hose clamp

and remove air filter assembly.
6. Inspect the air filter and replace if
necessary. If the filter has been
soaked with fuel or oil, it must be
replaced.
7. Reinstall the air filter on the main
filter mount. Place hose clamp over
the assembly and torque to
specification.
NOTICE
Apply a small amount of general purpose grease to the sealing edges of the
filter before reinstalling.
TORQUE
Air Filter Hose Clamp:
20 in-lbs (2 N·m)
NOTICE
The air filter should rest on the filter supports. Proper placement of the air filter
is important to prevent rattles and air leaks.
8. Install air box cover and secure with the clips.
FUSE REPLACEMENT
If the engine stops or will not start, or if
you experience other electrical failures,
a fuse may need replacement. Locate
and correct any short circuits that may
have caused the blown fuse, then
replace the fuse. Spare fuses are
provided in the tool kit.
To replace a fuse, do the following:
1. Open the front box cover, and remove the access panel.
2. Remove fuse box cover.
3. Remove the suspect fuse from the fuse panel. If the fuse is blown, install a
new fuse with the same amperage.
