#1 Do they go off every time you’re cooking?

It depends on the smoke concentration level in your kitchen. If the smoke concentration reaches the alarm level, the device will alarm. We do not recommend that you install this device in your kitchen. If you need one in your kitchen, make sure to keep it away from smoke sources.

#2 Fire marshal approved?

Yes, this alarm has fire marshal approved.

#3 Does this alarm have the ca state fire marshal approved seal? is it approved for ca use?

Yes, this alarm has fire marshal approved.

#4 Are these hardwired?

No, they are not hardwired. They are powered by a built in lithium battery that will power the detector for 10 years. The battery is neither rechargeable or replaceable.

#5 Will vaping triger the photoelectrics?

My experience. I have had the alarm sound from a little too much smoke from the kitchen stove and my wood burning stove but never from vaping.

#6 Is the battery tamper resistant?

It seems to be.
