#1 does this sub have an auto on/off where it shuts on and off with a signal from turning off/on your receiver ?

the green power light stays on but I believe the sub shuts off automatically to standby just like the satellite speakers once the receiver is powered off.

#2 Any way to reduce very bad rumble without turning the bass so far down that the subwoofer is ineffective?

There are a lot of factors that can go into the "rumble" sound you are describing. A couple things to check would be your low pass knob (recommended ~80Hz), your phase switch if you have multiple subwoofers (set one to 0, the other to 180), and your subwoofer level within your AV receiver (set to +0dB and adjust slowly from there).

#3 lfe input - 1/4 " ?. I will be coming out of a powered mixer.

The Line Input on the R-10SW is a RCA left and right connection. You may need to consider an adapter if the source/mixer does not have a dedicated RCA Subwoofer Output.

#4 does it come with the wires needed for hook up?

Unless stated otherwise in the description, a purchase pf the R-10SW will not come with the RCA connecting cable needed.
