Install the batteries
(p. 18).
Slide the battery cover lock,
then open the cover and
insert the batteries.

Install the CF card (p. 22).
Open the CF card slot cover
and insert a CF card.

Press the ON/OFF button to turn the
camera on (p. 30).
Hold the ON/OFF button down until the indicator next
to the viewfinder starts flashing green.
¡If the LCD monitor displays
the Set Date/Time menu, set
the date and time (p. 25).
