LG Electronics F4V308WNW Questions and Answers

#1 My washing machine is displaying the OE error. How do I clean the drain pump?

Empty the drum (there must be NO clothes in the drum).
It is advised to add a cup of soda or other tub cleaner (according to package instructions)
Close the drawer and lid and then select “Tub Clean” button.
Note: The message ‘tCL’ will remain on the display until the program is finished.
When the Tub Clean program is done, leave the washer lid open for ventilation and drying inside the washing machine.

#2 How to prevent musty odor and build ups from the tub

1)Leave the door/lid open after every cycle until the tub is completely dry.
2)Use correct amount of detergents and fabric softeners as instructed by the manufacturers. Dilute concentrated softeners with water for use.
3)You can maintain the washer clean by cleaning the tub regularly.(Preferably once a month)
4)We do not recommend natural detergents (soap) as it does not get dissolved in water well and cause removed dirt to build up on
the tub more easily.
5)If the unit is installed in a damp and dark area or have not been in used for a long time, more dust can build up to the tub. If you haven’t cleaned the tub for more than 6 months, clean the tub 3 times in a row.

#3 Washer makes banging noise or the door shakes?

→ Washing machine spins and stops several times to balance the load and speeds up once the load is balanced.
You may hear vibration and banging noise during this process.
The noise will get reduced once it starts spinning after balancing the load.
The door is designed not to open during operation so you can rest assured.
Did you put items that are not for washing machine?
→ Take out items that cause uneven distribution.
Do not put door mat, rug, carpet, rubber mat, heated blanket etc. for washing.
These items can cause unbalanced load and can extend the spinning cycle as it takes more time to balance the laundry load.
Press [Pause] button and take out the items
