#1 How to prevent the sound bar from entering sleep mode?
There is a way to keep the power on so the manual details, but i haven't figured out how to un-sleep. That said, it's really not a big deal to obtain volume. Once I turn on the TV, get to my channel of choice, i push the volume up or down one time, wait less than 5 seconds, the volume kicks to on. While my 50" on-screen volume number used to be around 30 for news and as high as 50+ for some movies. The key for my TV was to set the on-screen volume to 1, then manually adjust the Vizio volume to where I like it for the news. Now my on-screen volume number is usually 1 to 3. What will mess you up is when "someone," in this case my wife, would not hear anything and begin upping the on-screen volume back to the old 30+ numbers. The I would reset on-screen to once again to 1 and manually reset Vizio volume. The reason my on-screen volume is set so low is there's a delay in sound between the TV "dialog" and Vizio dialog. I found it's best to have TV speakers off. Good luck!
