8. OPERATING YOUR BREAST PUMP
Notes:
1. Your breast pump will begin in Stimulation Phase . Adjust the pumping level
using the controls to nd a comfortable level.
Stimulation Phase = a fast pumping rhythm that mimics the baby's natural
sucking pattern to stimulate milk ow.
2. After 2 minutes, your pump will automatically switch to Expression phase.
Adjust the pumping level using the controls to nd the maximum level of
comfortable vacuum for you.
If your milk begins to ow before 2 minutes, press the mode change button to
manually switch to expression mode
Expression Phase a slower pumping rhythm for gentle and efficient milk
collection after milk has started owing.
3. Once you are pumping in the Expression Phase, increase the speed/vacuum
until pumping feels slightly uncomfortable (not painful), then decrease slightly.
