WARNINGS
It is essential that you read these instructions carefully and comply with the following recommendations.
• For your safety, this appliance complies with the applicable standards and regulations (Low Voltage
Directive, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Environmental…).
• Before using, always check the condition of the appliance, the power socket and the power lead.
• Do not pull on the power cable or the appliance, even to unplug it from the wall socket.

VERY IMPORTANT

VOLTAGE
• Before using the appliance for the first time, ensure that your mains voltage corresponds to the
voltage indicated on the appliance.
• Your appliance can be used with a power plug without an earth connection. It is a class II
appliance (double insulation ).
ASSEMBLING
• Your appliance is supplied unassembled. For your safety, it is essential to assemble it correctly.

The "A" "B" and "C" buttons described below are only operational once the appliance has
been turned on and can be used simultaneously (see page 2).
• "A" button, oscillation control:
- Press the "A" button once, the fan oscillates horizontally.
- To stop the oscillation function, press the "A" button again.
• "B" button, set automatic appliance shutdown:
You have 4 choices, 1-, 2-, 4- or 8-hour operating time.
- Press the "B" button once; the 1-hour timer is activated and the 1h indicator comes on.
- Press the "B" button a second time; the 2-hour timer is activated and the 2h indicator comes on.
- Press the "B" button a third time; the 4-hour timer is activated and the 4h indicator comes on.
- Press the "B" button a fourth time; the 8-hour timer is activated and the 8h indicator comes on.
- To stop the "TIMER" function, press the "B" button again.
• "C" button, set VARITION or REDUCTION mode
Pre-select the start-up speed according to your needs (see table above), then select
REDUCTION mode or VARIATION mode (using method described below):
- Press the "C" button once; "VARIATION" mode is activated and the "VARIATION" indicator
comes on.
- Press the "C" button again; "REDUCTION" mode is activated and the "REDUCTION" indicator
comes on.
- Press the "C" button again to stop this function.

REMOTE CONTROL MOD. VU6555
The remote control buttons are the same as those on the appliance control panel.
The information is sent to the appliance by means of an infrared transmission LED located on
the front of the remote control. The infrared receiver is located on the fan control panel.
Do not scratch or cover the transmission LED, or the infrared receiver on the fan.
To use the remote control, point the transmission LED towards the infrared receiver on the fan
and press the required button.
Ensure that there are no obstacles between the transmission LED and the receiver.
The maximum range is approximately 6 metres opposite the fan.
Remote control power:
The remote control is powered by two AAA or LR03 type alkaline batteries, which are not supplied.
Insert the batteries into the battery housing, respecting the battery polarity as indicated in the
housing.
Whenever a command is issued to the control panel, the fan beeps.
CLEANING
• Your appliance must be unplugged before proceeding with any cleaning work.
• You can clean it with a slightly damp cloth.
• IMPORTANT: Never use abrasive products which might damage the appearance of your appliance.
STORAGE
• When you are not using your appliance, store it in a dry place.
• When storing the appliance over a period of time, remove the batteries from the remote control
(mod.
VU6555
).
IMPORTANT:
It is recommended that you unplug your appliance whenever it is not in use.
IN THE EVENT OF PROBLEMS
• Never dismantle your appliance yourself, this will negate any guarantee. A poorly repaired appliance
may be dangerous for the user.
• If the appliance ceases to operate or is damaged in any way, contact one of our authorised
service centres.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION FIRST !
Your appliance contains valuable materials which can be recovered or recycled.
Leave it a local civic waste collection point.
To protect the environment, do not throw away dead batteries, instead, take them to a battery collection
point. Do not dispose of with household waste.
• "D" button:
- Press the "D" button once; the appliance starts up at speed 1 and indicator comes on.
- Press the "D" button a second time; the appliance changes to speed 2 and indicator comes on.
- Press the "D" button a third time, the appliance changes to speed 3 and indicator comes on.
- If you press the "D" button again, the appliance changes back to speed 1 and indicator comes on.
• "E" button, immediate appliance shutdown:
- Press the "E" button to completely shut down the appliance.

The Warranty
This product is guaranteed by T-fal for 1 year against any manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship, starting from the

nitial date of purchase.
The manufacturer's warranty by T-fal is an extra benefit which does not affect consumer's Statutory Rights.
T
he T-fal warranty covers all costs related to restoring the proven defective product so that it conforms to its original specifications,
through the repair or replacement of any defective part and the necessary labor. At T-fal’s choice, a replacement product may be
provided instead of repairing a defective product. T-fal’s sole obligation and your exclusive resolution under this warranty are
limited to such repair or replacement.
Conditions & Exclusions
The T-fal warranty only applies within USA, Canada & Mexico, and is valid only on presentation of a proof of purchase. The
product can be taken directly in person to an authorized service centre or must be adequately packaged and returned, by recorded
delivery (or equivalent method of postage), to a T-fal authorized service centre. Full address details for each country’s authorized
service centre are listed on the T-fal website (www.tefal.com) or by calling the appropriate telephone number listed below to
request the appropriate postal address.
T-fal shall not be obligated to repair or replace any product which is not accompanied by a valid proof of purchase.
This warranty will not cover any damage which could occur as a result of misuse, negligence, failure to follow T-fal instructions, use
on current or voltage other than as stamped on the product, or a modification or unauthorized repair of the product. It also does not
cover normal tear and wear, maintenance or replacement of consumable parts, and the following:
-using the wrong type of water or consumable
-scaling (any de-scaling must be carried out according to the instructions for use);
-ingress of water, dust or insects into the product;
-mechanical damages, overloading
-damages or bad results due to wrong voltage or frequency
-accidents including fire, flood, lightning, etc
-professional or commercial use
-damage to any glass or porcelain ware in the product
This warranty does not apply to any product that has been tampered with, or to damages incurred through improper use and
care, faulty packaging by the owner or mishandling by any carrier.
The T-fal manufacturer's warranty applies only for products purchased and used in USA, Canada & Mexico. Where a product
purchased in one country and then used in another one:
a) The T-fal guarantee duration is the one in the country of usage of the product, even if the product was purchased in another
listed country with different guarantee duration.
b) The T-fal guarantee does not apply in case of non conformity of the purchased product with the local standards, such as voltage,
frequency, power plugs, or other local technical specifications
c) The repair process for products purchased outside the country of use may require a longer time if the product is not locally
sold by T-fal
d) In cases where the product is not repairable in the new country, the T-fal guarantee is limited to a replacement by a similar
product or an alternative product at similar cost, where possible.
Consumer Statutory Rights
This T-fal manufacturer's warranty does not affect the statutory rights a consumer may have or those rights that cannot be
excluded or limited, nor rights against the retailer from which the consumer purchased the product. This warranty gives a
consumer specific legal rights, and the consumer may also have other legal rights which vary from State to State or Country to
Country or Province to Province. The consumer may assert any such rights at his sole discretion.

ADVERTENCIAS
Es esencial leer atentamente estas instrucciones y observar los siguientes documentos :
• Para su seguridad, este aparato es conforme a las normas y reglamentaciones aplicables
(Directivas de Baja Tensión y Compatibilidad Electromagnética, medio Ambiente…).
• Antes de cada utilización, verifique el buen estado general del aparato, de la toma y del cordón.
• No jalar el cable de alimentación o el aparato para desconectarlo de la toma de corriente.
• Desenrollar completamente el cordón antes de cada utilización.
• No introduzca nunca objetos en el interior del aparato (ej: agujas, ...).
• Este aparato no está previsto para que lo utilicen personas (incluso niños) cuya capacidad físi-
ca, sensorial o mental esté disminuida, o personas sin experiencia o conocimientos, excepto si
pueden recibir a través de otra persona responsable de su seguridad, una vigilancia adecuada o
instrucciones previas relativas a la utilización del aparato. Conviene vigilar a los niños para ase-
gurarse de que no juegan con el aparato.
• No haga funcionar su aparato donde haya demasiado polvo o en un local que presenta riesgos
de incendio.
• Este aparato está destinado únicamente a un uso doméstico. Por lo tanto, no se puede utilizar
para aplicación industrial.
• La garantía será anulada en caso de eventuales daños que resulten de una utilización inadecuada.
• Si el cable de alimentación está dañado, el fabricante, su servicio posventa o una persona de
calificación similar debe reemplazarlo para evitar peligro.
• No coloque el aparato debajo de una toma de corriente.
MUY IMPORTANTE
• Mantener el aparato a 50 cm de cualquier objeto (paredes, cortinas, aerosoles).
• BAJO NINGUNA CIRCUNSTANCIA NO INTRODUCIR EL APARATO EN NINGUN LIQUIDO.
• NO OPERAR EL APARATO CON LAS MANOS HÚMEDAS.
• Antes de poner el marcha el aparato, asegúrese que :
- El aparato está totalmente armado como se indica en las instrucciones.
- El aparato está colocado sobre un soporte estable.
- El aparato está en posición normal de funcionamiento (sobre su base).
TENSION
Para toda utilización, comprobar que la tensión indicada en el producto corresponde a la de la
instalación.
• Su aparato puede funcionar con una toma de corriente sin tierra. Es un aparato de clase II
(doble aislamiento eléctrico ).
MONTAJE
• El aparato se suministra desmontado. Para su seguridad, es importante armarlo correctamente
antes de la primera utilización.

Sencillamente pulsando las teclas :
• Posición ON/OFF : encendido y apagado del aparato.
• Posición : ventilación suave.
• Posición : ventilación media.
• Posición : ventilación fuerte.
• Oscilación : Pulse el botón si desea un funcionamiento con oscilación
Los botones " A" "B" y "C" definidos a continuación sólo son operativos tras la puesta
en funcionamiento del aparato y se pueden utilizar simultáneamente.

Preseleccionar la velocidad de arranque según sus necesidades (véase cuadro anterior) y selec-
cionar el modo REDUCTION o el modo VARIATION (según el método descrito a continuación):
- Pulsar una vez sobre el botón "C"; el modo "VARIATION" pasa a ser operativo y se enciende el
indicador luminoso "VARIATION".
- Pulsar una segunda vez sobre el botón "C"; el modo "REDUCTION" pasa a ser operativo y se
enciende el indicador luminoso "REDUCTION".
- Para parar, pulsar una tercera vez sobre el botón "C".

• Botón "A", mando de la oscilación:
- Pulsar una vez sobre el botón "A"; el ventilador oscila horizontalmente.
- Para parar la oscilación, pulsar nuevamente el botón "A".
• Botón "B", programación de la parada automática del aparato:
Existen 4 opciones: 1, 2, 4 u 8 horas de funcionamiento.
- Pulsar una vez sobre el botón "B"; la minutería 1 hora pasa a ser funcional, se enciende el indi-
cador luminoso 1h.
- Pulsar una segunda vez sobre el botón "B"; la minutería 2 horas pasa a ser funcional, se encien-
de el indicador luminoso 2h.
- Pulsar una tercera vez sobre el botón "B"; la minutería 4 horas pasa a ser funcional, se enciende
el indicador luminoso 4h.
- Pulsar una cuarta vez sobre el botón "B"; la minutería 8 horas pasa a ser funcional, se enciende
el indicador luminoso 8h.
- Para parar la función "TIMER" pulsar nuevamente el botón "B".
EN CASO DE PROBLEMA
• No desarme nunca usted mismo su aparato. Un aparato mal reparado puede presentar riesgos para el usuario.
• Si el aparato deja de funcionar o está dañado, contacte con un Servicio Técnico autorizado.

Su aparato contiene un gran número de materiales valorizables o reciclables.
Llévelo a un punto de recolección especifico para su tratamiento.

• Botón "D", arranque/selección de velocidad:
- Pulsar una vez sobre el botón "D"; el aparato arranca en velocidad 1, se enciende el indicador
luminoso .
- Pulsar una segunda vez sobre el botón "D"; el aparato pasa a velocidad 2, se enciende el indica-
dor luminoso .
- Pulsar una tercera vez sobre el botón "D"; el aparato pasa a velocidad 3, se enciende el indica-
dor luminoso .
- Si pulsa otra vez sobre el botón "D"; el aparato pasa nuevamente a velocidad 1, se enciende el
indicador luminoso .
• Botón "E", parada inmediata del aparato:
- Pulsar sobre el botón "E" para parar completamente el aparato.

TELEMANDO MOD. VU6555
Los botones del telemando son idénticos a los cuadro de mando del aparato.
La información se transmite a su aparato mediante infrarrojos con un diodo emisor situado en la parte
delantera del telemando. El receptor infrarrojo está situado sobre el cuadro de mando del ventilador.
No raye el diodo emisor, ni el receptor infrarrojo de su ventilador.
Para utilizar el telemando, dirigir el diodo emisor en dirección del receptor infrarrojo del ventilador y pulsar
sobre el botón deseado.
Cerciórese de que no haya ningún obstáculo entre el diodo emisor y el receptor.
El alcance máximo es de aproximadamente 6 metros frente al ventilador.
Alimentación telemando:
El telemando funciona con 2 pilas de 1,5V tipo AAA o LR03 alcalinas, no suministradas
Situar las pilas en su alojamiento respetando las indicaciones de polaridad definidas en este compartimento.
Durante cada acción en el cuadro de mando o el telemando, el ventilador emitirá un BIP sonoro.
LIMPIEZA
• Su aparato se debe desconectar antes de cualquier operación de limpieza.
• Usted puede limpiarlo con un paño ligeramente húmedo.
• IMPORTANTE: No utilizar nunca productos abrasivos que podrían deteriorar el aspecto de su aparato.
ALMACENAMIENTO
• Cuando no utilice el aparato, éste debe mantenerse en un lugar protegido de la humedad.
• Si en un dado caso, debiera almacenar su ventilador, retirar las pilas del telemando (mod.
VU6555
).
IMPORTANTE:
Si no utiliza su aparato, se aconseja desconectarlo.

Garantía
T-fal garantiza este producto por un año contra cualquier defecto de fabricación tanto en materiales como en mano de obra, a
partir de la fecha de compra.
La garantía del fabricante T-fal, es un beneficio extra que no afecta los derechos legales del consumidor
La garantía T-fal cubrirá todos los gastos relacionados con la reparación de los productos defectuosos hasta que cumplan con sus
especificaciones originales, mediante la reparación o reemplazo de cualquier pieza defectuosa y la mano de obra necesaria para
ello. A criterio de T-fal, en lugar de la reparación, podría hacer cambio de producto. Incluyendo solo para México los gastos de
transportación en México razonablemente erogados para el cumplimiento de esta garantía, exclusivamente para aquellos sitios
donde no se cuente con un centro de servicio autorizado
La única obligación de T-fal y su exclusiva determinación bajo esta garantía se limita a la reparación o reemplazo del producto.
Condiciones y exclusiones
La garantía T-fal, aplica solamente en Estados Unidos de Norteamérica, Canadá y México, y serà válida solamente con la
presentación del comprobante de compra. El producto puede ser llevado directamente a un centro de servicio autorizado, o
debidamente empacado y devuelto, mediante servicio de mensajería autorizada (o servicio de paquetería equivalente), al centro
de servicio autorizado de T-fal. Detalles y dirección completa de los centros de servicio autorizados de cada país, se encuentran
listados en la dirección electrónica de T-fal (www.tefal.com) o bien llamando al nùmero telefónico de cada país indicado abajo,
para solicitar la dirección correspondiente.
T-fal no está obligado a reparar o reemplazar ningún producto el cual no sea acompañado de su comprobante de compra.
Esta garantía no cubre ningún daño que pudiera ocurrir como resultado de mal uso, negligencia, o no haber seguido las intrucciones
de uso establecidas por T-fal, uso de corriente o voltaje diferente al indicado en el producto, o una modificación o reparación no
auorizada del mismo. Tampoco cubre el desgaste o deterioro normal del producto, ni el reemplazo de componentes consumibles, ni
lo siguiente:
- uso de tipo incorrecto de agua
- sarro (la eliminación de sarro (residuos calcáreos) deberá ser llevada a cabo de acuerdo a las instrucciones de uso)
- ingreso de agua, polvo o insectos al interior del producto
- daños mecánicos, sobrecargas
- accidentes incluyendo fuego, inundaciones, rayos, etc
- uso comercial o profesional
- daños en componentes de vidrio o cerámicos en el producto
Esta garantía no aplica a ningún producto si ha sido intervenido, o presenta daños derivados de uso o cuidado incorrecto, mal
empacado por el propietario o mal manejo por parte del servicio de paquetería.
La garantía T-fal, aplica solo a los productos comprados en Estados Unidos de Norteamérica, Canadá y México, cuando un
producto es comprado en un país y usado en otro diferente:
a) La duración de la garantía T-fal es la correspondiente al país donde se utilice el producto, aún cuando la duración de la garantía
donde haya sido comprado el producto dentro de los paìses listados, sea diferente.
b) La garantía T-fal no aplica en caso de no conformidad del producto comprado con los estándares locales, tales como voltaje,
frecuencia, contactos eléctricos, u otras especificaciones técnicas.
c) El proceso de reparación de un producto comprado fuera del pais de uso, puede necesitar de un tiempo mayor si el producto
no es vendido localmente
d) En caso de que el producto no sea reparable en el nuevo país, la garantía T-fal se limita al reemplazo por un producto similar,
o un producto alternativo de costo similar, dentro de lo posible.
Derechos establecidos por la ley al Consumidor
Esta garantía T-fal, no afecta los derechos establecidos por la ley que el consumidor pudiera tener o aquellos derechos que no
pueden ser excluidos o limitados, tampoco los derechos contra el distribuidor al que el consumidor le haya comprado el producto.
Esta garantía proporciona al consumidor derechos legales específicos, y el consumidor podrá tener tambièn otros derechos
legales los cuales varian de Estado a Estado o de País a País o de Provincia a Provincia. El consumidor podrá hacer valer esos
derechos a su discreción.
