This unit uses about 180 Watts.

#3 If there is no warm, how does one keep the food warm? Leaving it on low continues cooking correct?

The heat will not last long if its lid stays open. If you leave the lid closed it can keep food warm over time.

#4 Does it have a removeable insert?

Yes, the stoneware is removable.

#5 Can it shut down automatically?

No it does not shut down automatically

#6 Can you tell me please if the power plug on this item is compatible with New Zealand plugs ?

No, this slow cooker is not recommended for use in New Zealand. The slow cooker is only recommended for use in the US and Canada in a standard 120V AC outlet. We do not recommend using adapters or converters

#7 Can anyone tell me what is the hottest temperature it reaches?

These will reach up to 215 degrees when on high.

#8 Does this crock-pot come with a travel bag?

No, it doesn't. I've never seen a crock pot with a travel bag. I have seen the travel wraps at craft fairs, though, so probably you could find one or a pattern to make one.
