18.Start the engine. Allow it to idle for one to two minutes.
19.Stop the engine and check for leaks.
20.Check the oil level. Add engine oil as needed to bring the level to the upper
mark on the dipstick. See Oil Check section for proper procedure.
21.Dispose of used filter and oil properly.
TRANSMISSION OIL
Always check and change the transmission oil at the intervals outlined in the
Periodic Maintenance Interval section of this manual. See the Lubrication Guide
section for fluid recommendations and capacities. Maintain the oil level at the
bottom of the fill plug hole. The fill plug is located on the left side of the ATV
behind the footwell. The drain plug is located on the right side of the vehicle.
OIL CHECK
1. Remove the fill plug

. Check the
oil level. Oil should reach the bottom
of the fill hole threads.
2. Slowly add the recommended fluid
as needed to bring the level to the
bottom of the fill hole threads.
3. Reinstall the fill plug. Torque to
specification.

OIL CHANGE
1. Place a drain pan under the gearcase. Remove the drain plug

oil to drain completely.
2. Clean and reinstall the drain plug. Torque to specification.
