GRIND CONSISTENCY
n Turn the coffee bean container to adjust the coarseness of the grinds produced. It is important that the
grinds are suitable for your coffee maker or it could produce an inferior coffee. Use the table provided
to find which grind of bean you require, please adjust where necessary depending on the coffee bean
used.
n Please note that the coarseness setting is particularly critical when grinding for use in espresso ma-
chines; too fine a grind may reduce the flow and over extract the coffee, too coarse a grind may increase
the flow and under extract the coffee. Both can result in poor tasting coffee with little or no crema,
adjust the grind size to suit your particular espresso maker.
n Remember never to grind more coffee beans than you need for use in the next hour as ground coffee
rapidly oxidises and is quickly spoilt. If you grind more coffee than necessary, it can be kept for a short
length of time, in a sealed container in the fridge.
OPERATING THE APPLIANCE
1 - Remove the coffee bean container lid.
2 - Fill the coffee bean container with required amount of beans, making sure that the lid closes securely.
(The maximum fill is 225g or 8 ounces of beans.)

(Fig. 1).
4 - Position the dial to the desired number of cups (2 to 12 max.) you require coffee grinds for. (Fig. 2).

6 - Press power button to turn bean grinder on, the power will not turn on unless both containers are fitted
into the main unit correctly.
Please take into account that based on your personal preference you can make your coffee weaker or
stronger by adjusting cup selection to reduce or increase the amount of fresh coffee grinds produced.
7 - Press the start / stop button to begin bean grinding, this will flash during the grinding operation.
A safety feature of your bean grinder is that the grinder will not operate unless the coffee bean container
with
lid is fully in place in the grinder mechanism.
8 - The grinder will automatically stop when the correct amount of coffee has been ground with coffee
grinds deposited in the coffee grinds container.
9 - To manually stop the grinding operation during use, press the stop / start button. To re-start, repeat
steps 6 & 7.
10 - Remove the coffee grinds container and prepare your coffee with the fresh grinds.
GRINDING TIMES & GRIND SELECTION
n Your new KRUPS coffee bean grinder is a fully automatic burr grinder.
n The grinding time is automatically adjusted to suit the coarseness setting and cup selection setting to
ensure the amount of grounds is accurate for each grind. Please note that some finite adjustment may
be required depending on the coffee beans used. The grinder guide below provides an indication of
which grind is most suited to the type of coffee maker to be used. The table should be used as a guide
