INSTRUCTIONS
LIMITED ONE-YEAR FACTORY WARRANTY:
Marpac warrants its products (with exceptions as indicated below), to the
original purchaser, to be free of defects for a period of one year from the
date of purchase. This limited warranty covers all parts and/or workmanship
against defects or breakages in normal intended use. This limited warranty
does not cover damage caused by accidental dropping, rough handling, or
misuse of the product; including tampering, or the application of electrical
power other than that listed on the label (120V or 240V, depending on the
model). Altering or tampering with the label will also void this warranty.
This limited warranty covers our products for use in the country they were
purchased from. Should you attempt to use this product in another country,
warranty will be void. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you
may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
Our ultimate promise to you is that we do our best to make serious, high-
quality sound machines. We really do care about your enjoyment of our
products. We want to hear from you any time you think our product has
disappointed you. Please contact us. We stand behind these products, expect
them to last, and will make every reasonable effort to make you happy.

When placing your Dohm Classic, be aware that the bottom openings of the machine
must remain exposed at all times to allow the machine to cool. Please do not place the
Dohm Classic in the bed with you or on thick carpet where these openings may get
blocked.
The Dohm Classic acts to buffer noise by creating a steady sound which
fills the sleeping environment. We recommend experimenting to find the
location that works best for you, but here are some general guidelines:
By rotating the side of your Dohm Classic, you can create a variety of soothing
tones and volumes.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk
of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
While not required, we do recommend use of a surge protector if your electricity is prone
to fluctuations in current.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or
similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this product with
any solid-state speed control device (i.e., dimmer switch, motor controller, variable speed
control).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CORD-CONNECTED
APPLIANCES
A polarized plug will not fit into a nonpolarized receptacle, so it’s necessary to have a
qualified electrician install a polarized electrical receptacle. Do not operate this sound
machine if it has a damaged cord or plug. Discard the product or return to an authorized
service facility for examination and/or repair. Do not run the machine’s cord under
carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not
route the cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange your machine so that its cord is away
from traffic areas, and where it will not be tripped over.
CAUTION!
The holes at the base of your Dohm Classic serve as an air exhaust. Blocking
these holes or restricting airflow around the product in any way can cause severe overheating,
which could seriously damage your sound machine and the area surrounding it.
The appliance is not to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
