Replacing the lters
The lters should be replaced every 6 to 9 months and when-
ever worn or damaged.
Replacement lters are available from your Black & Decker
dealer (cat. no. VF90):

If you want to dispose of the product yourself, the
battery must be removed as described below and
disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
u Run the battery down completely.
u Remove the dust bowl.
u Remove the two screws from inside the tunnel that the
hose ts into and lift off the battery housing.
u Detach all lead connections from the battery pack.
u Carefully remove the cover which hold the battery pack in
place.
u Remove battery pack and place in suitable packaging to
ensure that the terminals cannot be short-circuited.
u Take the battery to your service agent or to a local recy-
cling station.
Once removed, the battery cannot be retted.
