#1 Are these water resistant (like in the shower) or waterproof? I'm a big swimmer, like for miles, will they survive?
Yes, the GT1 is IPX5 waterproof (with laboratory certification) and can be used in the shower. But not for swimming. Below we list the waterproof rating and the types of sports that can be used. You can refer to the following. In the future, we will also introduce headphones with laboratory certification and higher waterproof rating. I hope that you can pay attention to the purchase when you arrive.
IPX4: The liquid splashes into the outer casing from any direction without damage, like sweating;
IPX5: can withstand medium and low pressure water flow, like showering, washing hands;
IPX6: can withstand high pressure water flow flushing, like heavy rain;
IPX7: It can be immersed in water (within 1 meter) for a short time like surfing;
IPX8: It can be immersed in water for more than 1 meter for a long time like scuba diving, swimming, snorkeling;
Even with the highest performance waterproof rating, any watch or digital product is not recommended for use in hot water baths, saunas, etc. Because the high air pressure is easy to damage the seal ring, it will lead to waterproof failure, and the water vapor as a gas is also more likely to take damage into the watch.
