Cleaning and care
92
Remove any soiling from the control panel and from the front of
the machine straight away.
Soiling that is left too long might become impossible to remove and
could cause the external surfaces to alter or discolor.
All surfaces are susceptible to scratching.
Contact with unsuitable detergents can alter or discolor the
external surfaces.
Cleaning the control panel
Only clean the control panel with warm water and liquid dish soap,
applied with a soft sponge or cloth. Then dry the control panel with
a soft cloth.
Do not use abrasive detergents!
These can damage the control panel.
Cleaning the front of the dishwasher
To clean the stainless steel front panel, use a damp cloth with either
a solution of liquid dish soap and hot water or a non-abrasive
cleaning agent suitable for use on stainless steel.
To keep the front panel from getting dirty again (fingerprints, etc.), a
stainless steel conditioner can be used after cleaning (e.g., Neoblank,
available from Miele Service).
Do not use cleaning agents containing ammonium chloride or
thinners!
These agents can damage the surface material.
When cleaning, do not hose down the dishwasher or its direct
vicinity, e.g. with a water hose or pressure washer.
Cleaning the wash cabinet
The wash cabinet is largely self-cleaning, provided that the correct
amount of detergent is always used.
If, despite this, lime scale or grease deposits accumulate in the
cabinet, these can be removed with a proprietary dishwasher cleaner
(available from Miele).
