BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
CAUTION: Blade is sharp. Handle carefully. Do not wash in dishwasher.
Do not immerse cord, plug or appliance in water or any other liquid.
1. Remove all packaging materials before using.
2. Place the Meat Slicer on a clean, hard, flat and level work surface.
3. CAUTION: SERRATED BLADE IS SHARP, HANDLE WITH CARE. Always make sure
the unit is unplugged and the blade has come to a complete stop before disassembly
or cleaning.
4. See Cleaning Instructions for disassembly and assembly instructions. Wash blade in
warm soapy water; rinse and dry thoroughly. Assemble after cleaning, making sure the
blade removal tab is tightly fastened.
5. Remove the meat grip and wash in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
CAUTION: DO NOT IMMERSE MOTOR BASE IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS.
6. Wipe all surfaces with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.
7. Move the sliding feed table back and forth to make sure there is clear
and even movement.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: blade is sharp. Handle carefully.
1. Place the Meat Slicer on a hard, flat and level work surface.
2. Make sure that the blade is installed securely and the surrounding work area is clear
and unobstructed.
3. Place food to be sliced on the sliding feed table. Press the meat grip into the food
and then push up against the thickness guide. Use the handle to pull the sliding feed
table with food against the blade.
NOTE: Maximum size of food to be sliced is: 4.25” long x 4.25” wide x 3.5” thick.
4. Set the desired cutting thickness by turning the thickness adjustment knob.
There are 5 thickness settings: 5= 5/8”,4= 4/8”, 3= 3/8”, 2= 2/8”, 1= 1/8”.
(See Figure 2.) Turning the Knob counter clockwise will increase the thickness
of the slice.
5. CAUTION: To avoid injury, always use the meat grip when slicing food.
6. WARNING: Do not use the Meat Slicer to cut hard frozen food or bones. The Meat Slicer
may become overloaded and damage the blade.
7. WARNING: Do not use the Meat Slicer to cut jellylike or wet food. The jelly
or the excessive juice may spread into the electrical components of the motor assembly
and may lead to fire and electric shock, personal injury or death.
