#1 Does the water come in contact with the plastic?

The bottom is metal, the sides are glass, and the lid part is plastic. If it's full and boiling the water may come in contact with the plastic on the lid.

#2 Does this thing make this kind loud noise?

It does not make a loud noise at all just some bubbling as it reaches the temperature. It then shuts off. I keep an eye on it as the light goes out to signal that it is ready.

#3 Is there a way to use the keep warm function without the light constantly blinking?

I have not found one. I can't stand that light either but it is a small price to pay for the great kettle.

#4 This is supposed to be cordless. Does it work on batteries? If so, what kind, and how often do they need to be replaced?

Mine is not cordless.

#5 I just got mine, used it twice and there are spots on the metal part on the inside. Is that normal?

I would just clean it. I had the same spots and they disappeared after I washed it.

#6 Why does my kettle (brand new), keep reboiling and not shutting off?

My hubby I thought, hits the switch to turn it off. Not sure.

#7 Can you keep water in it from day to day, or do you need to put in fresh water each day?

You need to put water in as needed. Yes you are able to hold the water in there. But to keep it hot you have to reheat as needed. It doesn't keep the water hot. Just makes It hot.
