#1 I just got the dp-ub9000P1K. The box says it plays Blu-rays marked region code A. Pretty sure the dp-ub9000 I already have is region free. Whats up with that? Is the P1K region specific?

Thanks for your question. The DP-UB9000P1K is an updated version of the DP-UB90020. Units produced for the US market are Region A for Blu-ray and Region 1 for DVD.

#2 With DSD capabilities on board, will this unit possibly recognize an SACD even though it isn't mentioned directly?

Thanks for your inquiry. While the UB9000 incorporates DSD technology, SACD is not a supported audio format.
