n Place the carafe onto the base. Plug the unit in.
n Press the Start/Stop button.
n Press Select and choose the temperature you wish : 17F - 194°F - 203°F - 212°F. The LED will light up.
n Press the Start/Stop button to begin the cycle. The Start/Stop button will turn blue.
Do not use the kettle without the kettle lid.
3.3 Keep warm function
The tea or the water can be kept warm for 1 hour at a temperature of 167°F or higher, depending on the
original temperature selected.
n Press the keep warm button to activate the Keep Warm function.
n It will automatically go off after 1 hour. However, you can stop it at any time by pressing the Keep Warm
button again. The indicator light will go off to indicate the Keep Warm function has been turned off.
n When the keep warm button backlight turns off the kettle will go into the stand-by mode. The start/stop
button will blink for about 5 minutes allowing you to re-start a new boiling cycle. If you don’t start a new
cycle within that time the kettle will automatically turn off.
4. CLEANING
n First unplug the appliance and let the kettle cool down.
n The outside can be wiped with a damp cloth. A dry cloth should always be used to clean the base.
n Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquids.
n A normal color will appear over time in the small and large filter due to the tea, in spite of regular cleaning.
n Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the appliance
n Do not clean the appliance in the dishwasher. It is strictly prohibited to put the small and large tea bas-
kets in a dishwasher. It is also prohibited to put any other removable parts of the appliance or acces-
sories in a diswasher.
5. DESCALING
For best performance, we suggest to descale every 3 months. It could be necessary to descale more
often, the amount of scale that develops depends on the hardness of your water and how frequently the
kettle is used.
To descale your kettle:
n Always unplug the base and allow the kettle to cool before descaling.
n Fill the kettle with water to the maximum fill line.
n Add a suitable descaling agent (for the quantities, please refer to the agent packing) in the water and
blend during few seconds.
Do not use vinegar or vinegar concentrate to descale the appliance.
Do not use citric acid to descale the appliance.
Never use another method for descaling than that recommended.
