information guide carefully to be able to safely install, use and
maintain your product.
Important Safety Advice
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should
be followed to reduce the risk of re, electric shock, and injury
to persons, including the following:
If the appliance is damaged, check immediately with the
supplier before installation and operation.
Do not use this appliance in the immediate surroundings of a
bath, shower or swimming pool.
Means for disconnection must be incorporated in the xed
wiring in accordance with the wiring regulations.
Do not use outdoors.
In the event of a fault disconnect the appliance from mains
supply.
Switch off the appliance when not required for long periods.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a
special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or
its service agent.
Warning - No naked ame sources, such as candles, should
be placed on this apparatus.
Warning - The appliance shall not be exposed to dripping or
splashing and that no objects lled with liquid, such as vases,
shall be placed on the apparatus.
Warning - this appliance is of Class I construction and must
be connected to a mains outlet with protective earthing
connection.

Do not switch the appliance on until properly installed. Please

Unpack the appliance carefully and retain the packaging for
possible further use, in the event of moving or returning the
appliance to the supplier.

Warning.
Do not connect the appliance until the instruction leaet is read
fully.
The appliance can be used free standing or elevated by tting 4
feet to the base with screws provided - see Fig. 2.
Connect the supply cord(kettle type connection) to the socket at
the back of the appliance and connect other end to mains supply.
Positioning the Stove
The Opti-V uses an illusory reection technique and is designed
to work best when ambient light levels are low. If the Opti-V is

installed in brightly lit areas, the strong reections may diminish
the ame picture.
Operation - remote control: -
The appliance by default is in standby mode, indicated by a red
light at the front of the appliance.
To activate the remote control, remove the battery clear, plastic
strip, which is used to ensure the remote is fully charged before
use - see Fig.3.
To operate, aim the remote control to the front of the appliance.
Press the standby button (
) on the remote control (see Fig. 3).
The fuelbed will light up and after approximately 7 seconds the
ame will appear.
Note: The user may notice a blank screen for approximately 3
seconds, every 30 minutes. This is normal and should not be a
cause for concern.
The audio volume may be adjusted up or down by pressing the
volume control buttons ( + and -).
To create the shadow effect on oor, press the shadow ‘light
on’ button (
).
To turn the effect off, press the shadow ‘light off’ button(
).
For battery replacment refer to the embossed diagram on the
back of the remote control.
NOTE - Use Lithium batteries only - CR2025
Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of
battery disposal.
Manual Control Operation: -
The manual controls are located at the back(top) of the appliance.
(see Fig. 4).
The button funtions are identied as described below;
